Holding tightly to both love and truth

At Passion Compass, we are dedicated to connecting and equipping Christ followers for respectful discussions on LGBTQ+ issues, navigating the complexities of faith and identity. Through biblical insights, particularly Matthew 19:3-12, we aim to challenge perspectives while fostering love and understanding within the Christian community.

Decades of growing estrangement with my brother James over the LGBTQ+ fuss felt hopeless. We both wanted to be right, but found ourselves arrested by Jesus’ wisdom in the Eunuch Proverb conversation of Matthew 19:3-12. Reconciliation to God and one another came before his AIDS related death. Winning my brother was far greater than winning debate.

Four ways to take part

Devotional study

We organize quarterly devotional studies, exploring faith and identity through structured sessions using the 7 week study FORMED, creating a safe space for discussion and growth.

Weekly meetings

Regularly scheduled gatherings foster ongoing dialogue, engagement, and community development. Details of time and location TBA.

We host events designed to build bridges and encourage conversations around faith and LGBTQ+ matters, enriching the community through shared experiences.

FORMED — a seven-week devotional study

Connecting and equipping Christ followers for reasonable dialog on a politically polarizing, socially volatile and personally sensitive issue, FORMED arrests the Nature v Nurture debate. Whether you personally struggle, or love someone who does, Jesus’ Words of Life are for you both.

Forty-nine daily readings across seven weeks of formation, plus a fiftieth day of Jubilee.
